Lemon pepper Steak!

A delicious dish which can also be made with chicken. This particular recipe was innocently pinched from my lovely sister whom is a total expert in making this!

Thanks sis!! ☺️

I love versatile dishes which can be tweaked a little to whichever poultry you decide to cook with.

A week or so back we hosted a suprise bridal dinner (click here Suprise Bridal dinner) we made this recipe using chicken, so we decided to give it a go with steak.  YUM! So glad we did.

– steak or chicken fillets pieces (quantity & cut of your choice)

-x2 600ml thickened cream

-lemon pepper mixed herb mix

-Arab 7 spice

-vegeta (gourmet stock powder)

-salt & pepper

-3 cups sliced mushrooms (optional)

– x7 small chat potatoes (skin on) quartered

– x5 cloves garlic minced.

Step 1.)

Heat a little oil in a skillet, lightly fry off a small amount of the Preminced garlic. Add your chosen meat on top.
Step 2.)

Top with some of all the spices mentioned above. Cook the meat a few minutes on each side till golden brown on the outside. Once this is done set the steak on a plate aside (covered).
Step 3.)

In the same skillet add potatoes and the remaining garlic and spices and keep tossing so they brown off evenly. Once the potatoes have become a little soft move onto the next step.

Step 4.)

Add sliced mushrooms and mix really well. Ensuring spices coat the mushrooms.

Step 5.)

Place the meat back into the skillet, mix well.

Step 6.)

Pour over the cream, cover with foil and place in the oven on approx 180Degress for 45-1hr or till cooked through.

Serve with either mash or vegetable rice.

  1. Salams sister, Allah Huma Berek, this looks amazing. Just would like to ask you, may sound abit silly, but I’m really particular with adding the right ingredients… With the lemon pepper, Arab 7 spice, vegeta and salt and pepper, how much exactly did you add? Was it a teaspoon each? Thank you Hun.

    1. Salams sister, not sure if you got my previous msg. I was asking you how much exactly do you add lemon pepper, arab 7 spice, vegeta, and salt and pepper? Looks delicious!
