Curry & vegetable puffs


-lamb or beef mince meat (500g)

-Arab 7 spice mix

-curry powder

-salt and pepper

-frozen bag of peas,carrot and corn

-1garlic clove crushed

-1brown onion finely diced

-puff pastry (ready rolled)

-1 egg 

-poppy seeds

-sesame seeds

Step 1:

In a pot heat a little oil and sautè both onion and garlic till fragrant.

Step 2:

Add the mince meat, break apart and cook I’ll brown.season with the curry powder, 7 spice, and salt and pepper.(To taste)

Step 3:

Add the frozen vegetables. Mix well till cooked through.

Step 4:

Once meat mix has cooked through, cut a sheet of pastry into four squares. 

Place a few TAblespoons of the mix and fold the bottom corner to the top corner to form a triangle. Press firmly against the edges to prevent opening. Also use a fork to make it a little more secure.

Step 5:

In a small bowl use a fork to whisk the egg to create a “wash” for the pastry.

Brush over the egg wash on the top surface only.

Step 6:

Sprinkle the poppy seeds & sesame seeds ontop. The egg wash will help them stick.

Place into the preheated oven till golden.
